What is equity crowdfunding?

Equity crowdfunding allows a large pool of people to back a business they believe in. When you invest in equity you buy a percentage or share of a business. You can read more about investing on the Crowdcube website.

Who is Crowdcube?

Crowdcube is a crowdfunding platform that enables businesses to attract investment from professionals, venture capital firms, as well as from everyday people. They have facilitated crowdfunding rounds for Monzo, Revolut, Eden Project, BrewDog and more. Learn more here.

Who can invest?

You must be over 18 years old and legally entitled to invest. You’ll also need to be a resident of the UK or a country where you may legally receive financial promotions of the nature provided. See more details on the Crowdcube website.

Why is WorkClub crowdfunding?

It’s always been a part of our plan to give the community an opportunity to own part of WorkClub and let them share in our successes. In 2020, 20 million UK professionals worked remotely for the very first time, breaking norms and setting the right conditions for incredible growth ahead.

What is a convertible?

A convertible is an investment for equity in a company where shares will be issued at a future date. Usually the shares will be issued when the company completes a follow-on investment round. A convertible allows a company to raise finance without setting a valuation - the valuation will be set by the subsequent investment round or at an agreed valuation on a longstop date.

How do I make a return on my investment?

A return is made if the business you have backed goes on to achieve an ‘exit’ (via a sale to another company or by floating on the stock market) at a higher value than when you invested - you make a profit from your investment. Just remember that investing in a startup business carries significant risks, including illiquidity, lack of dividends, loss of your investment and dilution.

How much can I invest?

The minimum investment is £10. Due to the size of our investor community and demand we’ve seen in past rounds, we are expecting our allocation to go fast. As this round does have a hard cap, we encourage you to pre-register now, if you’d like to participate.

What to do now?

If you have already registered interest above, sign up to Crowdcube on their website so that you're ready on the day and share this exciting opportunity with your friends!

When will the campaign go live?

The campaign will launch privately at the end of February to our existing community of investors. Then towards the end of March, we will open the campaign up to the rest of the public. Register your interest now to get priority access.
